The Virgin Islands are Captain Dave’s playground. He fell in love with the Virgin Islands in 1977 and has been sailing here since then. He has a USCG 50 ton Master’s Captain’s License. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Dave began sailing on Long Island Sound as a teenager. He went to the University of Wisconsin Madison for his undergraduate studies (B.A. Philosophy) and sailed extensively with the U.W. Hoofers. He graduated from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in 1977 and did his first bareboat charter in the Virgin Islands for his graduation gift.
S/Y Bel Ami is a very comfortable seaworthy sailboat that offers a master cabin for guests. Dave and Bobbie are a team who love hosting guests onboard Bel Ami and taking them around the islands.
