An inclusive yacht covers all on-board amenities, water toys, daily meals, and the ship’s bar. However, inclusive charters do not include premium drinks like champagne, dockage fees, or communication costs. In addition, when sailing in the British Virgin Islands, the cruising taxes and fees are included.
Under the Caribbean Inclusive Terms, the ship’s bar and drinks are included. And you’ll need to pay government taxes and fees separately.
The charter fee does not cover expenses incurred during the charter. Instead, these costs are covered by the Advance Provisioning Allowance, which usually ranges from 20% to 50% of the charter rate. The unused APA is refundable at the end of the trip. Or any overages are paid at the charter’s end.
This type of charter cost covers the yacht rental and the captain’s services.
Caribbean yacht charters usually last for a week. They charge weekly charter rates, depending on the number of guests. However, extending the charter may increase the cost due to additional amenities such as food, drinks, and fuel.
Sailing to popular spots like the British Virgin Islands, the Mediterranean, or the Bahamas usually costs more because they’re in high demand. While lesser-known regions may offer more affordable charter prices.
Charter inclusions vary by region. Caribbean charters are usually all-inclusive, covering both the yacht and services. In Croatia, additional costs are separate from the yacht rental.
Charter rates vary by season, with higher prices during peak times and holidays, and lower rates during off-peak months.
In the Caribbean, the yacht charter high season is over Christmas and New Years with some yachts including Thanksgiving. Booking in advance with CKIM ensures the best yacht.
To avoid crowds and get better rates, try visiting the Caribbean from May to November. Just be prepared for the occasional rain shower. Keep in mind that yachts are usually undergoing maintenance from August through October the peak of the hurricane season.
The type, size, and amenities of a boat greatly affect its cost. Luxury yachts, with their added features, come with higher price tags. Essentially, the more features and comforts you want onboard, the more you’ll pay.
Bareboat charters in the Caribbean are less expensive than fully crewed yachts. Any type of charter can be amazing, but having a crew on board lets you really enjoy the open seas. It includes a professional captain for navigation and a chef to prepare your daily meals and delicious cocktails.
Water toys such as paddleboards, kayaks, jet skis, and snorkeling gear can enhance your charter experience. If they’re not included in the base price, extra fees will apply. Some yachts also offer scuba diving equipment. If you’re interested, check for availability and additional costs.
