Captain Ben Siek - American

Benjamin (Ben) was born and raised in the lakes region of New Hampshire, joining the yachting industry a couple years after completing his education in 2010. Growing up around the water and keeping an adventurous lifestyle throughout the mountains, Ben has a firm connection to the water and all things outdoors. He became a captain at the age of 28 on board 85ft Pacific Mariner, Reflections and has been on board Motor Yacht Lady Cope since May 2017. He has traveled independently through the U.S., Canada, and Central America while pursuing his interests of returning to visit the four seasons of New England, skiing and snowmobile adventuring, boating and hiking the Appalachians. He enjoys all water sports especially snorkeling, waterskiing, and wakeboarding and plans to learn kite surfing in the near future. He takes great pride in his professional role so that guests can be assured of their safety, comfort and peace of mind while aboard Lady Cope. Ben’s aim is to make sure your experience onboard is unforgettable, whether your desire is to visit natural wonders, see ancient ruins, or sunbathe on secluded beaches. In his spare time Ben enjoys exploring new places on his road bike, planning an afternoon adventure on the water, sightseeing cities and trying new restaurants.

Chef / Stew - Caroline Ford

Caroline Ford was born and raised in Oklahoma. After receiving a journalism degree from the University of Missouri, she hopped across the country to attend culinary school in Portland, Oregon. Spoiled by one of the best food scenes in the country, this is where her appreciation (obsession?) for sourcing the best ingredients from regional farmers and producers began. Prior to yachting, Caroline worked as a food stylist, writer, and recipe tester/developer for magazines, cookbooks, online media, advertising, and test kitchens.

Restless on land, she eventually made her way to the ocean to cook while traveling. Caroline prefers cooking from-scratch cuisine with local, seasonal ingredients and creates menus focused on fresh vegetables, fish, meat, and whole grains. Of course, all that “healthy” eating is balanced by plenty of morning pastries, homemade ice cream, breads, and desserts. Caroline is happy to accommodate any special diets/requests/preferences, and tailors the menu to each client.

In her free time, Caroline enjoys road cycling with Ben, traveling to new places, researching and exploring local food traditions and specialties, kayaking, hiking, and reading.
