British Virgin Islands Charter – Day 3
I woke at 5:48AM after a refreshing night’s sleep. The anchorage is quiet, supposed most are recovering from the day of partying, not the night as the party was all day. We’ll leave the anchorage by 730AM for the NE of Jost Van Dyke with Foxy’s Taboo, The Bubbly Pool, Green Cay, and Sandy Cay. Can’t wait.
Now anchored off the beautiful Sandy Cay for breakfast. A short trip over to Green Cay and Foxy’s Taboo for the Bubbly Pool and the toilet seat.
This was a great experience. All my years of sailing the BVI I had never visited the Bubbly Pool it was worth the 15-minute hike, to experience the scenery, the suction on the toilet seat and the view from the pinnacle.
Sails are being hoisted and it is off to Monkey Point on Guana Island.
Short sail with a gentle breeze, arrived at Monkey Point for some snorkeling after lunch. Christina did an awesome job with a mango salsa which Karin and Glenn love.
Awesome lunch at Monkey Point. The meals onboard Solitude just keep getting better and better. We are going to need to exercise more. Vegetable soup followed by an excellent salad with Solitude signature dressing. Can’t wait for dinner. Time to snorkel and swim, the others are already in the water. Only 3 other yachts at Monkey Point do we virtually have it to ourselves.
Easy motor sail to Marina Cay, visit the Pusser’s Store which is as good as always. The girls love to shop and certainly found a few items to purchase.
Christina outdid herself again. Dinner was fish on a bed of rice with roasted pine nuts, followed by an Italian dessert with chocolate, and walnut drizzle.
Most of us went to bed shortly thereafter. A very satisfying day.
It is good to be on a British Virgin Islands yacht charter. The BVI is familiar, beautiful, and quiet. I love it.
