Day 1

Your catamaran, “Talaria,” is docked at Jolly Harbour Marina on the South West coast of Antigua. Upon arrival, your crew will greet you with a refreshing cocktail and show you around the yacht and your cabins. Then sail out of Jolly Harbour to a nearby overnight anchorage to watch the sunset and enjoy dinner aboard.

Day 2

After breakfast, you set sail past Five Islands for Deep Bay. Once anchored in Deep Bay, you can relax on the beach. If you prefer, take a short hike up to historic Fort Barrington or snorkel the 1905 wreck of the “Andes”. This old wood and iron carrier caught fire after anchoring en route from Trinidad to Peru.

Enjoy a sumptuous lunch on board before setting sail along the northern shores of Antigua. Stop at Long Island, home of the exclusive Jumby Bay Resort. We will spend the night at anchor in this idyllic bay. You can take a romantic starlit stroll along the shore after dinner. Or, relax on the trampoline or sun mattresses before retiring to your cabin.

Day 3

After breakfast, you can take a short trip to Red Head Reef, where you’ll have lunch. Then, enjoy excellent snorkeling, swimming, or just relaxing on board; in the afternoon, sail to Great Bird Island, a wildlife sanctuary and home to the rare and endangered Antigua Racer Snake, a non-venomous snake unique to the island. A path leads to the top of the island for a spectacular panoramic view of the bay. After sundown, the barbeque is lit, and you will be served another delicious dinner at this stunning location. Here, light pollution from the islands is virtually non-existent. Enjoy a nightcap and some fantastic star gazing!

Day 4

It’s time to pass through the narrow reefs leading out to the Atlantic Ocean and the eastern side of Antigua. Travel to beautiful Green Island, where there is abundant birdlife, including red-billed tropicbirds, white-crowned pigeons, ospreys, night herons, and pelicans. On arrival, you will have lunch, some great snorkeling, and a chance to go ashore. In the afternoon, it’s a lovely sail to English Harbour, home of Nelsons Dockyard and the English naval base in years gone by. You can wander around this historic site, visit the old English Bar and do some shopping. Take a taxi up to Shirley Heights, enjoy a drink, and view the picturesque English Harbour while the sun sets before returning to your yacht for dinner.

Day 5

In the morning, visit Galleon Beach, where divers and snorkelers can explore the Pillars of Hercules, which has several reef ledges and an abundance of small reef fish. Take a short trip over to Pigeon Beach for lunch. After a leisurely sail, we stop at Carlisle Bay – a secluded calm bay. Here enjoy another sumptuous dinner.

Day 6

After breakfast, one can enjoy the morning relaxing, snorkeling, and beachcombing before heading to Ffreys or Picarts Bay which are particularly attractive with their exceptionally long beaches.

Day 7

In the morning, we sail to Cades Reef on the Western side of Antigua. Here, you can spend the rest of the morning exploring the inner reef – where you may spot stingrays and harmless reef sharks. Enjoy another excellent lunch before heading over to the pale blue waters of Jolly Beach. At Jolly Beach, one can enjoy the beaches and beach bars, buy last-minute souvenirs from beach vendors, or even have your hair braided with colorful beads!

Day 8

After breakfast, you will slowly make your way back to the dock in Jolly Harbour, enjoying those last-minute views of crystal clear waters against the blue azure sky. Say goodbye to Antigua and vow to return soon! The end of your 7-night Antigua Sailing Itinerary.
